Pre-Departure

Hello Friends and Family,

I have decided to keep a travel blog while studying abroad in Paris, France for the Fall 2010 semester. I figured that it would not only be a good way to keep in touch with friends and family from home, but would help to bolster my writing while I am away. I also would like a way to document my adventures and learning experiences while in a vastly new environment. I hope to travel to other countries within Europe as well so that blogging will help me to reflect and absorb all of the new and wonderful things I will experience. I am not the most technically savvy of people and my blog will most likely not have any bells and whistles, but I will add pictures hopefully and will eventually learn how to lead my blog away from the default template blogspot offers its users.I leave on Sunday, August 22 and I will miss you all while I'm away and would love to keep in touch via skype, anjelica.zalin, facebook, ichat, fleugirl2003, and email, azalin@uci.edu.
